There are many great things about online maps, but I am beginning to get a little worried. If you use a few different types, you can zoom in pretty close to someone’s home. I realize that these are not live pictures, but it is a little scary that someone could use this to see your home, and many of the details about where you live in real photo format. They aren’t real time yet, but will there ever be a time when someone can zoom in and see a live moving picture of what is going on around your house? I hope not. Online maps are great for those who don’t have navigation in their cars however, and I know that I rely on them when I go away. Online maps have the map, and they also have the driving directions printed underneath so you know where you are going step by step. You do have to worry about reading them while driving though, and that is ones major downfall.
There are sometimes when online maps don’t see to know what you are talking about. I have tried to get directions to certain addresses only to be told that address does not exist. I know it does, as the addresses have always been of very large places like universities and the like.
